Squidoo Beta Goes Public
Squidoo BetaBlog: "You may notice something special about Squidoo today.
We have quietly — and completely — moved out of the closed beta test… and into a public beta.
That means that anyone can visit Squidoo, find lenses, claim lenses, and build their own. We’re thrilled to open our doors to the public, and to let everyone use the platform that you’ve been helping us test and improve these last few weeks.
But we’re not going to tell anyone yet.
Except you."
Now there is a mistake! How long will this open secret stay secret? I have been working on building a few Squido lenses (Squidoo) over the past several weeks in the closed beta phase. I believe Squidoo has great potential, and urge to get over to Squidoo as soon as possible to stake out your claim.

Google Talkabout
Google Talkabout: "There are a lot of exciting things in store for Google Talk in the coming months and we thought the best way to tell you about them was to create a blog. We'll keep you posted on new features, happenings in the community, and progress towards our goal of enabling customer choice in Internet communications through open standards and interoperability.
One thing in particular we are really excited about is all the activity in the community around Google Talk. One of our favorite resources is Customize Talk which provides news, tips & tricks, and links to fun add-ons.
In addition to all the add-ons, some clever developers in the community have also documented our voice signaling extensions to XMPP (which we will also formally document soon) and someone even figured out how to make RPC calls using Google Talk ;-)
Thanks for all your great feedback on the product so far, keep the great ideas coming!

Fundraising, Group Purchases — Fundable
This looks like a tool with great potential:
Fundable is easy to use:
* Pool money for a gift.
* Raise money for a personal project.
* Sell to a group before making a product.
* Collect money to throw an event.
* Raise funds for an organization.
* Collect money for a group trip.
Group actions resemble online auctions:"

On Using Blinklist
I urge you to learn all you can about Social Bookmarking, BlinkList and del.icio.us. Blinklist is a web 2.0 tool that will enhance your effectiveness as a social entrepreneur. I'll write more on working with Blinklist in another post, but for the moment I want to direct your attention to an excellent introduction to Blinklist published by Solution Watch. Do read the entire post, and not just the conclusion that I've posted here.
After using BlinkList, I was able to clearly see that they are all about their users. They provide many features for you to make your life easier and also take your opinions very seriously. I want to mention a few neat features that really save you time. Lets start with the screenshot. See on the top right? Next to the arrows with the number in the middle that is selected. Well, that number tells you what page you are on as your a looking at BlinkList. But what a lot of people aren’t aware of is that you can actually change this number. It is a text field that when entering a number and pressing the enter or clicking away, it will change the page to that page number you put. Great implementation. The next feature deals with the bookmarklets. When you use a bookmarklet and find a site, select some text before clicking on it. You will notice that this text is then transferred over to the form when adding the bookmark. This is excellent if you just want to quote someone, show a description of a service, etc.. Very quick and easy.
Alright, how about we wrap this post up? I must say, this is the most feature packed bookmarking service I have seen yet. The support seems great, bookmarking is enjoyable, you can create a network of friends, and so much more."

Ambreso
Ambreso will track and report on resources (especially web 2.0 resources) relevant to the members of the Oxford NTC Alliance - and other social entrepreneurs who follow the Ambassador.
As Ambreso's focus is tools and resources that enhance entrepeneurial effectiveness, discussion on its pages will at times bear only a tangental relationship to the unique concerns of social entrepreneurs. The Ambassador will remain the Alliance's primary social entrepreneurship forum.
